Happy {Birth}Day Miss "D"

Melissa Ide Photography - {Tacoma Birth Photographer}

I first blogged about this beautiful couple a few weeks ago when Jennifer had her maternity session.  Then last week I posted the first half of their labor and birth at The Birthing Inn.

So, here are a few pictures of the new baby and all of the excitement that her parents shared.

Jennifer and Cooper Welcome Baby Girl #2 - Happy {Birth} Day

Welcome to the world Miss 'D' - Happy {Birth} Day

Melissa Ide Photography - {Tacoma Birth Photographer}

On May 28, 2012, I received a text around 10:30 in the evening;  I was just getting settled in for the night.  Jennifer was letting me know that she had been having contractions for a little while and that we were probably going to be welcoming her bundle soon.  We both tried to get some shuteye but about an hour later Cooper gave me a call letting me know that they had already gone over to The Birthing Inn
I jumped out of bed, grabbed my gear, and headed for my Jeep....drove across town, doing my best to obey the speed laws :)

I arrived with plenty of time to capture a beautiful, strong laboring mom.

Jennifer was doing amazing during her natural birth and after being examined, determined that she would go ahead and have her bag of waters broken.  Labor sped up quite a bit after having this procedure and soon she opted to move into the tub for some comfort.

Snowy Weekend in Washington {Melissa Ide Photography}

Child Photography

The weathermen have been predicting snow for our area but never seemed to know which day it was going to hit.  Well, in our neighborhood we had a little bit on Saturday and quite a bit more overnight.  Today we took Sophia out to see the snow for her second time.  Last year she was only a few months old and she doesn't remember it.
